Who We Are
niche: a comfortable or apt position.
Networking communication amongst a group of people. Information gathered knowledge. Connection a meeting point; a link; a relation of ideas. Home Educators parents who provide intellectual, factual, and edifying instruction to their children within the home.
Our Purpose
To provide a comfortable, enriching environment for home educators to meet, inform, encourage, and enjoy one another.
What We Believe
· All parents have the right to educate their own children at home. · Parents should feel secure in their choice to be home educators. · As home educators, we have the right and the ability to provide our children with experiences that help them to have a sense of “school pride”. · No home educator should feel ashamed of his/her reasons for becoming a home educator; No home educator should be required to provide an explanation for his/her choice to become a home educator . · Separation makes us weak; Unity gives us strength. As home educators, we should strive to amass our ideas, talents, information, and resources for the benefit of our children.
What We Will Do
· The NICHE will provide a format for home educators to network, communicate, and discover common concerns and interests. · The NICHE will collect and store information and share that knowledge with all those who need it. · The NICHE will seek out activities that will enrich our children’s educational experience. · The NICHE will support an agenda only if it protects our rights as home educators. · The NICHE will embrace all home educators. · The NICHE will strive to be an organization in which all home educators can participate. |
